2007 GACAR Installation Banquet

Filed under: Portraits — Aaron @ 3:12 am

I had a great time doing portaits again this year at the 2007 Gainesville Association of Realtors®  banquet where Sherry Patrick (1st portrait) became president.

Below are a few portraits I picked out of the 53 taken that night. The banquet is put together around a theme each year. This year was “a night in Paris” and my prop to setup around was a park bench.

Trying to emulate a park scene at night, I setup a pretty ambitious lighting scheme given the number of portraits I had to take. I was definitely on my toes adjusting the lights for almost for every sitting.

Let’s Do Dinner

This was an assignment for an advertisement in the Gainesville Magazine

Lets Do Dinner is an interesting concept. It’s sort of like having a kitchen where you don’t have to do the cleanup or worry about a menu - a great way to lift the burden of creating a home cooked meal.

10 Favorite images from residential shoots in 2006

Here are 10 of my favorite images from my 2006 residential shoots. I chose these images based on their artistic challenges in exposure, lighting and compositon.

For example, I really love #7 because of the overal complexity and depth of the image. The final image required four photographs; an exposure taken for the outside, and three bracketed for the interior.

I am also very fond of #3 because it shows even a small room can be elegantly photographed. In #4 I learned I could shoot into the sun with a polarizer and three bracketed images for some amazing results.

I am also very happy with the results of #2. This was photographed on a very bleak and dreary day. I assured my client that I could produce an image that would negate the necessity of drivng an hour and a half for a reshoot.

It’s been a wondful year. I really love what I do and am very excited about 2007 - Happy New Year!
